The project consists of the remodeling of a two-level restaurant whose main objective was to redefine the image of the place and organize the existing architectural program.
Description by Taller David Dana
Located in the Condesa neighborhood on Nuevo León avenue. The project consists of the remodeling of a two-level restaurant whose main objective was to redefine the image of the place and organize the existing architectural program.
The characteristics of the space and its context allowed the development of an environment with perfect natural lighting and views to the outside, giving freshness to the environment and at the same time creating a comfortable atmosphere.
The fusion of natural wood, stones, and vegetation achieved a beautiful neutral approach in modern finishes. The simplicity in its palette of finishes enriches the spaces. In this way, Green Grass Condesa is conceived as an interesting project in terms of its interior design and distribution, where its elements are related both functionally and aesthetically, providing identity and character.

Camilo Apartment results in elegance and quality of life, showing the aesthetic and functional possibilities of a space
Description by Taller David Dana
Camilo Apartment is a residential project where the selection of materials and furniture broadens the user’s perception, in which lighting is not a separate element, but implies the spirit of the space. The fundamental and discreet purity of the materials create a neutral atmosphere of dialogue between all its elements.
Perceptible modern notes are created by a mixture of light and translucent elements, the play of these makes the continuity of the materials consistent and rhythmic, attributing elegance, comfort and functionality.
When designing this apartment, the language of a contemporary, detailed and artisan architecture was retaken, which are attributes that compel each design decision that is made to model a space that is full of contextual identity and a language that is current in time.
The design starts from the adequate integration of a functional architectural program capable of creating amazement and emotion by perfectly materializing the concepts of fluidity, visual harmony and comfort. Outsetting the apartment to the surrounding views with wooded elements was an essential directive, as was the desire to concentrate the development of activities in an organized way.
The access introduces us into an elongated vestibule that leads us to the discovery of the spaces; the main area presents us with a dining room for fourteen diners with a design of radial hanging lamps followed by a grand piano that is aligned with a gaming table in the center of the site, and finally there is the living room that leads to a large panoramic window. To add the consistency to the space, natural materials were used, such as walnut wood beams that wrap the spaces into a rhythmic plan and accentuate the atmosphere. Generating a spatial transition with revolving doors that lead us to the family room and study, which houses a floor-to-ceiling bookcase along the side wall.
The selection of floors integrates gray basalt stone, oak engineered wood, carrara marble and porcelain. The lighting concept creates warmth and accentuates materiality through pendant lamps and LED strips.
The terrace defines its own program based on a seating area around a firepit, a dining room and a barbecue; creating a space for contemplation and social interaction. The unique architecture of the private area configures an interior of great formal beauty in the bedrooms conceptualized in wood paneling contrasting with the purity of the white walls. Departamento Camilo results in elegance and quality of life, showing the aesthetic and functional possibilities of a space.

Description by Studio DiDeA:
Studio DiDeA renovated a dwelling at the last floor of an apartment building in Palermo, dating back to the seventies and overlooking Parco della Favorita. The owner a couple wanted an efficient home with generous storage spaces, and also a more contemporary look for the house. The architects following the clients’ desires renovated the apartment with the result of a more airy, bright space with a better distribution. The original plan was the typical for a seventies home: a central corridor giving access to the different rooms. All the internal partitions were demolished. The living area is in the front of the house, the sleeping area at the back and the services contained in blocks. In the living area special attention was paid to natural light flowing from windows on both sides (east and west). After the entrance we are in an open space including the kitchen on the left and living room and dining room on the right. The kitchen can be closed when needed through a smoked glass sliding door. The blocks containing services have been upholstered with wood. The first block hosting a storage closet and the guests bathroom is inserted between the kitchen and the study room; the second block between the study room and the bedroom contains the walk-in closet room and the bathroom. A smoked mirrored glass sliding door divides the day zone from the night zone. Almost all the furnishings have been custom-designed by DiDeA and realized by local artisans. The color palette is declined in shades of beige and brown: the oak parquet covers the floor in the living room and in the bedrooms; the local billiemi marble for the kitchen floor and in some inserts. The wood used in bespoke furniture and wood paneling is tobacco oak. Against this backdrop the white elements used in the kitchen and in the guest bathroom stand out, so does the black studio wall. Neutral resins have been used for service areas such as guests bathroom and laundry room, following simple and minimal lines. Attention to craftsmanship and details is one of the main feature of this house : from the handles of the sliding doors to the wall paneling in the bathroom, to the black slats wall in the studio; all elements designed and tailor-made, which restore material unity and identity to this space. The few furniture elements which are not custom-made are in line with the design choices.

The Garú Apartment is located in Guarujá, Brazil.
It was designed by Estúdio BRA.
The new address of a retired couple on the coast of São Paulo.
The architectural intervention in the existing space was based on the decompartmentalization of the environments that were once fragmented did not represents the lifestyle of the residents.
After renovation, kitchen, dining room, living room and balcony have become a single space, allowing different possibilities of use in day to day. The subtraction of part of the walls provided, besides the visual permeability, the best air circulation throughout the social area.
The apartment is now organized in four different boxes of uses, marked by four different colors and textures: wood, concrete, white and blue.
The wood at the multifunctional furniture designed by the architects, marks the interaction between living and dining room. The furniture is support for electronic appliances, drawers, bar and living sofa. Already at night that furniture works as a large lamp.
The concrete present in the walls and at the doors, evidences and organizes the program destined to the couple and their son.
The white color organizes the program for guests, there are always friends who come to spend the weekend at the beach and enjoy the company of the couple.
The blue color marks the volume of the kitchen and laundry area.

“…To the architect/owner, the aim was to build a relaxed, private home that was energy efficient, practical and imbued with character from the all-natural materials used – complementing their extensive collection of art and antiquities from their travels…”
Description by Jessica Liew:
Designed with honesty, natural, light, texture, simplicity, privacy in mind. A house that maximizes a relatively small 385m² site in inner city Melbourne, providing bright but private living spaces. There is simple, relaxed feel about this house, loaded with character from the natural materials used including concrete, recycled tumbled bricks and hardwood timber. These provide an honesty and rawness so rarely seen these days – an antithesis to the glitz, luxe and glamour often seen in popular magazine and tv programs. To the architect/owner, the aim was to build a relaxed, private home that was energy efficient, practical and imbued with character from the all-natural materials used – complementing their extensive collection of art and antiquities from their travels. The result is remarkable. A home that has outwitted even other architects who have mistaken it for a renovation, rather than a newly-built dwelling on what was previously the neighbors tennis court. Accommodation: double storey dwelling comprising formal living, library, cellar, study, casual living and dining, separate laundry, rumpus, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 car accommodation. 6 star energy rated: double glazed windows and skylights, double hung ceilings, double insulated stud walls, reverse brick veneer walls, underground water tank, hydronic slab heating, recycled bricks, custom double height pile wool carpet, regenerative hardwood timbers throughout. ‘Switchable’ spaces including a study turning into a guest bedroom (murphy bed); rumpus or second study on level 1; and studio or 3rd bedroom upstairs. A courtyard sized to a car space for future additional parking requirement. Hidden storage and joinery throughout. Custom steel framed glass pivot doors replacing a conventional front door, the recessed floor mat is the only give away. Antique Chinese screen doors framing the fishpond corridor , mural by celebrated Melbourne street artists Ghostpatrol and Miso; retention of the original chain wire mesh tennis court fencing and tennis court roller; all rooms feature a garden, fishpond or courtyard aspect. Honesty: respect and transparency for all natural materials used – predominant palette comprising black concrete, white painted tumbled bricks and natural timber finish waiting to age with the house.

In this house, materials such as wood and iron contrast and complement each other to obtain sober and elegant rooms while are used like space separators, as in the main room, which is divided by uses through panels created with these elements.
